ENGLEWOOD, CO, September 21, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leading wireless product developer BlueRadios, Inc. has filed a Complaint in the United States District Court in Denver, Colorado seeking damages and injunctive relief against Kopin Corporation for its sale of wearable technology products and "Internet of Things" (IoT) product designs, as well as use of patented technology developed by BlueRadios.
The eight count Complaint asserts Kopin has breached its written agreement for failure to pay royalties pursuant to a long-standing joint venture with BlueRadios. The Complaint also includes counts for misappropriation of BlueRadios' trade secrets and confidential information, and seeks correction of inventorship due to Kopin's removal and exclusion of BlueRadios' inventors from patent applications filed without their knowledge or consent.
The accused products are made by Kopin and under sublicense to others. Kopin's wearable technology products have been marketed under the commercial names Golden-i, Solos (Kopin), Google Glass (Google), Ubiquitousware (Fujitsu) and HC1 (Motorola).
BlueRadios has successfully prosecuted and defended its intellectual property in the past, and will continue its action against Kopin in front of Senior Judge John Kane. BlueRadios is represented by Sheridan Ross PC, which is the largest intellectual property law firm in the Rocky Mountain region.
