He is most noted for his expertise in surveillance, law enforcement, management, negotiation, criminal investigations, business strategy and strategic planning.

In 1989, Mr. Dimeo completed his national service on the border of Southwest Africa and fought in the Angola War. From 1990 to 2001, he was instrumental in the supervision of VIP protection for motorcades. Mr. Dimeo considers the highlight of his career to be providing VIP protection and motorcade protection for the first black president of South Africa, who was inaugurated in 1995. He is also proud of being awarded runner-up status for Officer of the Year in 1992-1993 through the Johannesburg Traffic Department.

Mr. Dimeo's further honors include five Gold Awards, four Silver Awards and a Bronze Award from the Johannesburg Traffic Department. In 1995, he received a Gold Award from the Mayor of Johannesburg and a Gold Award from General Carlitz of the South African Police Services.
