DETROIT, MI, September 29, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The International North American Film Fest comes to Detroit, MI. The non-profit film fest is aimed at promoting diversity and cultural understanding through film. The film fest includes works from Detroit, New York, Delhi, Amsterdam and Poland.
Shaun Whitehead, Chairman of INA Film Fest, stated, "We had 11 different countries submit to the INA Film Fest this year. Films were submitted from Afghanistan, China, Columbia, France, India, Poland, Netherlands, Spain and from an array of locations across the globe. Ultimately our committee selected 13 films which fit the spirit of the film fest and will have everyone entertained." Five films selected were selected from local Michigan film producers. INA Film Fest Chief Creative Officer, Barika Pace, stated, "The INA Film Fest promotes the reflection of diverse urban landscapes in hopes of building a bridge of cultural understanding".
Thrirteen is the lucky number this year for the festival that will showcase a diverse spectrum of short and feature films from around the global. The films presented at the festival this year, including Bollywood drama, Once Again written and directed by Sanjay Arora starring Deepna Kumar. Prague Independent Film Fest pick, A Strawberry Mystery and Michigan local films like, Lost In Time, Hi Mom, Inaudible, Dreams of Detroit and Determined to Make It. Christopher Davis, Community Outreach Director said, "I'm exciting that the INA Film Fest will be coming to Detroit this year and highlighting the talent of local film producers. We've gotten tremendous support from the community this year".
