A recent study found multi-tasking can reduce a workers' productivity by 40%, following these findings, Ninjja Global Inc. has outlined how to increase productivity by focusing on 'To Do Lists'.

1. Identify Three Priorities
At the start of each day, create a list of tasks that need to be completed and highlight the three most important issues. Produce a system that includes Daily, Weekly and Monthly projects to ensure you keep on top of the day-to-day responsibilities.

2. Add Each Task to Your Daily Calendar
Be specific and estimate how long each task will take, this enables you to organise the day, and if some spare time comes up, smaller tasks can be finished. Being organised allows you to keep track of your progress.

3. Make a 'To-Don't List.'
To complete the tasks you want to, set up a list of things that may distract you. For example, "Don't respond to emails between 9 am and 11 am." Give your tasks undivided attention to finish them on time.

4. Focus on Individual Tasks
Multi-tasking has an adverse effect on productivity and quality of work. Using your To-Don't List and organised calendar will prevent you from becoming overwhelmed by attempting to finish all your work at once.

5. Evaluate Your List at The End of Each Day

Schedule some time to assess how many tasks have been completed at the end of the day, anything that requires urgent attention can be highlighted the next morning when creating your daily To Do List.

6. Use Lists Regularly
When you begin to create lists regularly, for work and leisure, you will become efficient at designating times and importance to each task. Making lists can be a beneficial skill to organise your life and as with any skill, practice makes perfect.

7. Be Realistic
Everyone wants their To Do List to be complete at the end of each day. However, it's not always possible. By following the above steps, you can minimise interruptions and prevent an overload of work, but it is important to manage expectations and learn from the day so that tomorrow can be even more competent.

Simone Suetsugu, CEO of Ninjja Global Inc., believes setting short-term goals can help employees perform effectively; "Each new day provides us with the opportunity to succeed, if you combine hard work with organisation skills, you give yourself a great chance to triumph on a daily basis. Creating lists and setting goals makes every day a new challenge."
