North Decatur Square Receives Zoning Approval

    ATLANTA, GA, September 30, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- During the September 27 DeKalb County Board of Commissioners meeting, S.J. Collins Enterprises' North Decatur Square was approved for rezoning. This rezoning approval comes after months of engaging the community in multiple "listening" meetings to ensure this new, curated development earned the support and enthusiasm of the community at large.

Approved at the meeting were three applications: an application rezoning the land from industrial to allow mixed-use; an application to rezone from commercial redevelopment corridor to town center; and an application requesting a Special Land Use Permit for a drive-through bank within North Decatur Square.

"The rezoning is the culmination of the hard work and support of the partners on the project, our elected officials and, most importantly, the public," said Jeff Garrison of S.J. Collins Enterprises. "The vision for a connected, intentional development where this community can gather to socialize and share experiences can now move forward."

North Decatur Square, slated to break ground in the first part of next year, will include multifamily, Georgia's first 365 by Whole Foods Market , an acre of open park space, Wi-Fi across the entire development, multi-use trails, with landscaping suitable for walkability, Pocket Parks, chef-driven and fast casual restaurants, as well as boutique retails locations. The development is expected to be delivered in the later part of 2018.
