Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Heidi Lehmann as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    CASTORLAND, NY, October 01, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Heidi Lehmann, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bach to Braille, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Heidi Lehmann will be featured in an upcoming edition of Women of Distinction Magazine's Top 10 Women of 2016.

President and CEO Heidi Lehmann takes pride in the mission of serving blind professional musicians with fast service, accurate work, and affordable transcriptions through her business, Bach to Braille, Inc. Established in 2007 in a small town in Upstate New York, her business serves the local community and beyond, specializing in the transcription of musical scores for visually-impaired musicians. They also offer braille production services, as well as embosser repair.

Bach to Braille, Inc. provides braille materials to educational institutions across the United States and Europe assisting students in their accessible media needs. She has worked with numerous major universities and learning institutions and has a tremendous amount of experience when it comes to music theory textbooks and individual music scores for specific classes.

A leading Braille Musician Transcriptionist, Lehmann graduated from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam Summa Cum Laude in 1999, studied Music Therapy at Florida State University, and completed her Library of Congress certification for both Literary and Music Braille Transcription in 2002 while temporarily living in France with her husband and four children.

Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the National Braille Association, Lehmann was Music Braille Chairman in 2010, Secretary in 2012, and is now serving as President-Elect.
