The highlights of his career were working for 25 years for the CIA, as well as working as a bishop at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Archdiocese of Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

Dr. Alonso Sosa is opening The Sosa-Neary Foundation for The Religious Arts, which will dedicate itself to the finding, preserving, purchasing and sales of icons, statues, and ancient texts from all over the world. They might be offering some online courses soon and are now accepting students for on-campus studies and research. He opened The Karastamatis Institute to help people with behavioral problems, especially in the field of addictions.
