Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Karen Balter as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    CARSON CITY, NV, October 01, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen Balter, Owner of Sierra Screening Services, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Karen Balter will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016/2017.

Karen Balter has been rapidly gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the criminology field and today is the successful owner of a drug testing and detection company called Sierra Screening Services, which is based in Carson City, Nevada. After first earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice at American Public University, Balter spent more than 20 years working in the field. After meeting and marrying her husband, they ventured into business together until he passed away. Taking some time for herself, she soon made the decision to focus on herself and, in 2003, formed Sierra Screening Services, serving clients all over the globe.

Running every aspect of the business, from customer service to bookkeeping and day to day administrative duties, Balter is the face behind the name. Providing a high level of service for those she serves, she believes in always putting the client first because she believes that it is the foundation of a successful business. On a daily basis, she is responsible for providing onsite services that include collections for toxicological examination and alcohol sample collection for several Department of Transportation regulated companies such as FRA and FMCSA clients in various areas across the country, as well as ensuring that all testing is completed in a timely and professional manner. Other clients include international maritime, airlines, government, and others.

Balter is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Criminology at Regis University to further her career. She is expected to graduate in May 2017.
