CHICAGO, IL, October 01, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Holly A. Wells, IT Finance Consultant and Founder of Eye Love Nature, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Holly A. Wells will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine's Top 10 in 2016.
Project Based IT Consultant Holly A. Wells has more than 20 years of experience in Corporate America. Her wealth of expertise spans having focused in financial analysis and consolidation/budgeting/reporting to implementing financial systems and integration solutions. Over the past few years, however, she's been focusing her efforts on exploring what she believes is her calling: partnering with a boutique consulting firm in Chicago, CTS. This opportunity has allowed her to continue providing IT finance support to corporate clients, while working to gain credentials and insights to launch a non-profit organization focused on sustainable living. Both initiatives focus on proactive solution implementation.
"After securing client permission to meet with and interview appropriate leaders and power users, I'll document what my clients are stating as their pain points of their day-to-day activities, perceived system limitations, as well as their overall frustrations with their roles and any specific activities they find themselves repeatedly spending time on that are not openly identified as part of their position," Wells explained about her current role as an IT Finance Consultant, noting that being discreet with her findings is crucial. "I also document improvement ideas and what's working successfully, make sure to practice the fundamentals of being trustworthy, and direct, demonstrate follow-through, and leverage client knowledge and existing resources to complete project objectives."
Often working independently on projects, Wells works diligently to maintain collaborative relationships with her clients, keeps clear definitions of project objectives/deliverables, and directly engages with client workers and their systems in order to assess and revise processes as needed to achieve the stated project results. Very hands on, she enjoys the satisfaction of leaving her clients knowing that she and her team have improved their quality of work life by automating redundant activities or tweaking roles and responsibilities to match worker skills and assets. Document management and open communication, Wells stresses, have been critical in her role in IT project management.
Recently, Wells founded a non-profit organization called Eye Love Nature, which provides information and access to sustainable living information. Sustainable living topics include recycling, eating organic, staying hydrated, practicing meditation, exercising, connecting with nature, and taking time to celebrate. With plans to eventually facilitate connections between sponsors, coordinators, and volunteers to help implement sustainable projects, the overall intention of the non-profit currently shares insights and links to other resources. This fall, Eye Love Nature will host a pilot radio series on 'becoming better stewards of the planet and our bodies' via VoiceAmerica.com's wellness channel.
Relocating to Chicago, Illinois after earning her BA in Finance from Michigan State University in 1994, Wells is currently active as a member of National Association of Professional Women where she was honored with a Woman of the Year Award in 2014. She's also a member of The Meaning Institute where she's earned international accreditation and became a Certified Dream Coach.
