20 stars from stage and screen named as Inductees for 2016 to The Actors Hall of Fame
CULVER CITY, CA, October 08, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Actors Hall of Fame Foundation has named 20 actors from stage and screen as Inductees for 2016 to The Actors Hall of Fame, it was announced today by Foundation President, Rusty Citron.
The 2016 Inductees are:
Lauren Bacall, Shirley Temple Black, Sir Michael Caine, George Clooney, Bette Davis, Sammy Davis Jr., Sally Field, Tom Hanks, Gregory Hines, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Angelica Houston, Hugh Jackman, Raul Julia, Shirley MacLaine, Rita Moreno, George C. Scott, Cicely Tyson, Orson Welles, Gene Wilder and Joanne Woodward.
There are now over 100 actors who have been inducted into The Actors Hall of Fame. The Foundation's Board of Electors is comprised of dramatic arts educators from over 150 universities and artistic directors, who nominate and vote on eligible actors from Theatre, Film and Television.
The Actors Hall of Fame Foundation (www.actorshalloffame.org) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring dramatic arts education in schools. The Actors Hall of Fame Foundation was launched in 2008 with the support of; HBO, Lionsgate, NBC/Universal, MGM, Microsoft and Google.
