New Jersey Law Firm Launches #EmployersThinkPink for Breast Cancer Awareness

    TEANECK, NJ, October 12, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year, the New Jersey personal injury law firm of Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., is raising awareness like never before.

Seven years ago, Annette B., a case manager at the law firm, was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer Stage 2B. After a strenuous fight that included surgery and treatment through Hackensack Medical Center's Betty Torricelli Institute for Care in Bergen County, New Jersey, Annette went into remission. She has been cancer-free since 2009.

In honor of Annette's fight, Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C., Partner Garry Salomon has created the #EmployersThinkPink initiative.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, any firm employee who has not had a mammogram will receive paid time off during the work day to do so. Salomon's hope is that all #EmployersThinkPink.

Salomon said that he has seen the impact of the disease and what early detection can do. He added that mammography is crucial in early detection of breast cancer and allows treatment to be started earlier in the course of the disease, possibly before it has spread.
