From one windy city to another, Chicago and San Francisco have similar characteristics for which Dabble.co is a perfect fit. Dabble helps people safely explore new ideas and experiences.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 18, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bay Area residents are now joining a fast-growing community of 100,000 "dabblers" across 10 cities with the recent expansion of Dabble.co, an online marketplace for fun and affordable in-person classes in local communities. Dabblers are lifelong learners, explorers and adventure-seekers willing to try new ideas, activities, hobbies and trades offered as courses by local residents via Dabble.co. Dabble makes it easy for anyone to get their feet wet in the growing sharing economy.
DABBLE EXPLORERS
This unique platform offers easy-to-learn activities across a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from the mundane to the strange. Dabble caters to adventure-seekers who want to try something new at an affordable price. It offers a range of distinctive classes for anyone with even a passing interest in a hobby, trade or new experience to try it out, or "dabble." Classes range, on average, from $35 - $50 depending on the region and type of class.
DABBLE TEACHERS
Dabble makes it easy for local residents to offer classes teaching virtually anything. It removes typical obstacles by taking care of the scheduling, marketing, sign-ups and payments for classes. People sign up for scheduled immersive learning experiences taught by local residents who have experience, passion and expertise.
If it's possible to provide a definitive solution to the never-ending question of, "What do you want to do tonight?" perhaps Dabble is it. And it is now available in the Bay Area.
DABBLE SAN FRANCISCO
Jay Swoboda, CEO of Dabble.co and "Chief Dabbler," invested his sweat equity in the successful Chicago-based platform in 2014 after the previous founders passed the torch and quickly expanded its footprint to cities like St. Louis, Denver, Seattle, Austin, and now San Francisco.
"From one windy city to another, Chicago and San Francisco have similar characteristics for which the Dabble platform is a perfect fit," said Swoboda. "Dabble succeeded in Chicago because it's a place of high energy, where people are always looking for new ideas, new explorations and new experiences. San Francisco has that same vibe."
DABBLE CLASSES
Swoboda is signing up teachers now in San Francisco to offer a broad range of local classes. The key ingredient to a successful class is fun, passion and excitement, said Swoboda. Each region is distinct in its character and offerings of classes. While salsa dancing, sword-making and mixology classes can be found in Chicago and Austin, welding, bread-making and special effects makeup artistry are offered in Denver and New Jersey. The courses are free for teachers to quickly set up and market at Dabble.co and the platform charges a percentage depending on the level of support requested and marketing starting at 10% of the ticket price. Reduced rates are offered to nonprofits with free listings for individuals and groups raising money for charitable causes.
Overall, Dabble offers a dizzying array of classes that range from ordinary subjects like art, cooking and dance to extraordinary options like knife throwing, welding, fencing and glass blowing. Teachers can offer one-time or multi-session classes and list them as often as their schedule permits with the most successful teachers offering classes 1-2 times per month.
DABBLE TEACHERS
Top Dabble teachers earn as much as $40K to $60K or more, teaching thousands of students throughout the year. However, the average Dabble teacher can anticipate a few hundred to a few thousand dollars in earnings depending on how often they teach.
"We use Dabble to reach a larger market of novice adventurers," said Leslie Speicher, owner of the Chicago Glass Collective, who earned nearly $13,000 by teaching 259 students through Dabble last year. "We provide a fun, safe learning environment that offers a unique memorable experience for first-timers to explore their inner artist, which can become quite addictive and keep them coming back, bringing with them friends and family members."
Dabble is now in San Francisco. To sign up to teach, host or attend as class or experience, visit Dabble.co.
