Actress Lana Parrilla Named as Global Ambassador for Face Forward

    LOS ANGELES, CA, October 19, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Face Forward is proud to announce Once Upon A Time star Lana Parrilla has accepted the position as their new Global Ambassador. Lana has been an outstanding member of Face Forward's celebrity honorary committee and is now stepping up to assist even more domestic violence survivors around the world. Lana first became involved with Face Forward in 2014, and in 2015 launched her "Long Live Hope" t-shirt campaign raising funds to support Face Forward survivors. Her fans from around the world instantly connected with the cause and began extending their support through various fundraising efforts as well.

Face Forward provides both emotional support and reconstructive surgery for survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking and other cruel acts of crime. They have given countless physically abused women, men and children from around the globe a new start with cases ranging from acid attacks, stabbings, gunshot wounds to effects of human trafficking, by providing pro-bono reconstructive surgery and emotional therapy. Face Forward recently hosted their 7th annual gala on September 24, 2016 at beautiful Vibana in Downtown Los Angeles. The Havana Nights themed evening included Host Ruth Connell from the CW's Supernatural, headlining performance by Platinum Selling Artist, Nelly and Cuban inspired cuisine by Top Chef Master Neal Fraser.

Lana Parrilla is an American actress best known for her roles on television. She was a regular cast member in the fifth season of the ABC sitcom Spin City from 2000 to 2001. She later starred in Boomtown (2002-2003), Windfall (2006), Swingtown (2008) and as Doctor Eva Zambrano in the short-lived medical drama Miami Medical (2010). She also played the role of Sarah Gavin during the fourth season of the Fox series 24 in 2005. In 2011, Parrilla began starring in her most recognizable role as The Evil Queen/Regina Mills in the ABC fantasy drama series, Once Upon a Time. In 2016 Parrilla won a Teen Choice award for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
