PHOENIX, AZ, October 20, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The High School Golf National Championship will be held as a Spring and Fall event this coming 2017 season. The Spring event will be held March 25-26, 2017 at the Francisco Grande Golf Resort in Casa Grande, AZ. The Fall event will be held September 3-4, 2017 at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort located in Gold Canyon, AZ. Both events will be held within the limits of the High School sports seasons, making attendance much easier for teams.
"This is an event that will challenge High School golf teams," states Tournament Director Tracy Cologne. "They will no longer simply compete with teams in their state; now they have the opportunity to compete with their entire country."
Each event will be open to 25 boys teams and 25 girls teams (250 players). A HSGNC team must have 5 players (no more/less) with the low 4 of 5 scores counted each day. It will be conducted as a 36-hole team stroke play event. Eligible players include rising freshmen through seniors at the time of the tournament. An added benefit of the 2017 HSGNC events will be adding "All Star" teams. This means to apply, a team does not have to be affiliated with a High School.
The staff at High School Golf National Championship has started receiving and reviewing team applications for the upcoming events. A team may apply online at highschoolgolfnationalchampionship.com under the registration tab.
"The 2017 High School Golf National Championship is destined for greatness," says Tracy.
The High School Golf National Championship staff is determined to deliver a competitive and professional atmosphere at every event.
