Nashville Drummer Kip Allen Finishes Studio Session with Singer-Songwriter Devin Dawson

    NASHVILLE, TN, October 25, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Nashville's Devin Dawson have been anticipating more of his original music and the wait is almost over. The talented singer-songwriter and guitarist has been hard at work for 7 weeks laying down tracks at Nashville's landmark Neon Cross Studio.

The soon-to-be-released LP was produced by American Country Music Producer-of-the-Year Jay Joyce. "I can't wait to share what we've created, a record filled with heart and exploding with life," said Dawson.

"It's an honor to be part of a project that will bring songs written by Devin to a wider audience," said Nashville-based drummer Kip Allen. Devin Dawson and Allen became friends and began playing together at Belmont University, where Dawson majored in songwriting and Allen studied commercial percussion.

Devin Dawson is a country artist and songwriter who draws his influences from classic rock, soul, and even Motown. Currently based in Nashville, Devin is a graduate of Belmont University's prestigious songwriting program. Devin recently got the nod from Taylor Swift after she tweeted she was obsessed with his and Lisa Wendorff's mashup cover video of her songs - 'Blank Space & Style'. The mashup now has more than 32 million views on YouTube. Devin recently signed a joint publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music & Jay Joyce's Neon Cross Music.

Drummer Kip Allen
Known for his tight, groove-oriented drumming, Drummer Kip Allen has made a name for himself as a touring performer and talented studio session drummer. Kip performs with Devin Dawson, Paul Childers and The Black Tie Affair, Forrest Fire Gospel Choir, Alex Boye and Baylor Wilson among others. A Dallas-Fort Worth native now living in Nashville, Kip has a drum sponsorship from DW Drums and produces and engineers music for other artists.
