Investment Partners Look to Google for Smart-Home Solutions
Technology investment partners Haim Toledano and Saar Pilosof focus on upcoming Google Home AI as the core of the Smart Home of the future.
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL, October 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Long-time business partners and technology moguls, Haim Toledano and Saar Pilosof, are focusing on global smart-home solutions, primarily via Google's upcoming Google Home.
Toledano's and Pilosof's focus on Google's new smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) solution is rooted in their commitment to creating truly global solutions. Other smart home assistants and AIs, like Amazon's Echo Speaker, are too region specific, and are tailored for the companies' primary markets, making global availability and services problematic. Google's assistant is based on the company's nearly decade-long developed AI and speech assistant, which already offers a long list of integrated services, and a robust development platform.
"We have known for a few years now that the Internet of Things and smart homes are going to big part of our future, but the technology always seemed a little behind. When Saar and I saw Google's Home assistant, we immediately knew that the future of the Internet of Things and the dream smart home will have Google at its core," Haim Toledano.
Toledano and Pilosof are scanning for startups and tech companies already developing IoT and smart-home solutions via Google integration. Other solutions, such as dedicated smart hubs and local network solutions are not being taken into consideration, as the market is too fragmented.
"The global smart-home market is currently in its infancy. The best solutions that are now available are too country-specific, or require special hardware and software. But Google always focuses on bringing innovation on a global scale, creating standardized solutions for the entire world," Saar Pilosof.
Both Toledano and Pilosof feel the future of the Internet of Things and the smart home will be standard, eliminating fragmentation and streamlining the connectivity process.
"Smart devices and appliances should just work. In the next few years your home will slowly become smarter with every new device you get," Toledano added.
