Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Kimberly G. Sims as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    FOUNTAIN, CO, November 03, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly G. Sims, Owner/Operator of Kimberly's Trucking, LLC, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Kimberly G. Sims was recently featured in the March 2016 edition of Women of Distinction and will soon be featured in an upcoming edition of the Top 10 of 2016 edition.

Getting into the truck driving business in the mid 1990's after learning of an open position available, Kimberly G. Sims took a chance and got the job. Having already obtained her CDL license a decade before, Sims began her career as a School Bus Driver in Salinas, California in the 1980's. Relocating to Colorado in 1992, she began working as a Material Handler for Fountain Ft. Carson School District and did foodservice delivery for them as well. A few years later, she began driving a dump truck for Chiddicks, followed by Scalfri Trucking for another 10 years, before ultimately purchasing her own truck from Scalfri in 2006.

"Since I was already doing this type of work, I figured I'd give it a try", Sims said simply in regards to establishing her own business, Kimberly's Trucking, LLC as Owner/Operator.

Kimberly's Trucking, LLC takes great pride in offering clients a high level of service and integrity. Experienced in paving and hauling aggregate services, Sims now focuses on making citywide parking lots, secondary and interstate roadways, as well as college campuses and military installations.

Married for more than 30 years, Sims' husband has played an instrumental role in her success, giving her the encouragement to follow her dreams, no matter how intense it can be on the job at times, especially as a woman. Sims' and he share three children together and one grandchild.
