Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Margaret Stewart as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

"I am a self-taught, freehand artist," Stewart said, "which first started as merely a hobby. But over the years I mastered my craft into a well-established business that I love. Working with customers to make their memories last a lifetime through a piece of my artwork is extremely gratifying."

Creating a variety of objects for customers, to include everything from portraits of people's pets, wildlife, and landscapes, Stewart brings to life everything she puts her hands to by simply referring to a photo. Using her patience, as well as a keen eye and steady hand, her custom work is truly something to cherish.

"I especially love recreating wildlife, like birds, horses, deer, and other animals you'll see out there in the wilderness or on the farm," Stewart noted. "Growing up on the ranch, in the high country of Colorado, my inspiration has always been my four-legged friends and the outdoors."

Creating custom designed heirlooms that include those very special moments, such as wedding dates and monumental birthdays, or anniversaries, which can be engraved on champagne flutes or other objects, Stewart has also developed an Eagle Series, which she is very proud of, and was initially inspired by the tragic events of September 11, 2001, as well as a Split Rock Lighthouse, Art on Wheels, and Gone Fishing Series.

Stewart's work has been on display throughout the state of Minnesota in various restaurants, as well as in art shows, including Wild Life & Garden Art Show, The St. Paul Sportsman Show, and Arabian Horse Show. She's also been featured in The Twin Cities TOSCA magazine for her masterpieces. She's even had the pleasure of gifting her artwork to First Lady Barbara Bush, as well as several other political leaders internationally. Active in her community with various organizations, she is a VIP member of National Association of Professional Women and The Wise Resource Volunteers of Minnesota public schools.
