Mountain West Financial Receives Inaugural MBA Diversity & Inclusion Award

    SAN BERNARDINO, CA, November 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced its first annual awards recognizing member companies for their leadership in diversity and inclusion. Companies were recognized in two different categories: Organizational Diversity & Inclusion and Market Outreach Strategies. Mountain West Financial was acknowledged with honorable mention in Market Outreach Strategies, for their partnership with Down Payment Resources. "We are honored to be recognized for our partnership with Down Payment Resource. We have successfully promoted down payment assistance programs and generated more affordable housing awareness while helping first-time homebuyers fulfill their dream of homeownership. Down payment assistance programs help the homebuyer increase their affordability and aid in growing our communities with more first-time homebuyers. About 73% of the purchases that we currently close are to first-time homebuyers and 25% of those purchasers are utilizing these down payment assistance programs. We helped 737 homebuyers in 2015 with affordable housing programs which is recognition itself.
