PHILADELPHIA, PA, November 11, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) will showcase a wide range of material testing, nondestructive testing, dimensional metrology and calibration services at the Fabtech 2016 expo in Las Vegas. The featured services will include some new capabilities, including high-cycle fatigue testing, ultrasonic testing on welds and calibration performed on an expanded list of electrical instruments. Lab Testing is a regular Fabtech exhibitor and has participated in the expo for the past ten years. This year, attendees can visit LTI in Booth N3707 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada on November 16 - 18, 2016.
Laboratory Testing Inc. specializes in testing and inspection of metal raw materials, prototypes and finished products. Fabricators require these testing services to help select materials, verify material composition, evaluate heat treatments and corrosion resistance, and to nondestructively inspect products for defects and inconsistencies. Mechanical test specimens, metallography samples and chips used in wet chemistry analysis are prepared by the Machine Shop at LTI. Some testing is also offered for polymers, composites, powdered metals, ores, ferroalloys and ceramics.
Calibration services performed by LTI's Metrology Lab ensure that the measuring tools and equipment used in the fabrication processes will provide accurate measurement readings. The scope of services includes calibration of pressure, force, torque, electrical, temperature, mass, humidity and flow instruments. First-article and third-party Dimensional Inspection services are also performed to verify the measurements of product features, including internal and external threads on fasteners. All instrumentation used in the metrology lab is traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
"A large percentage of our customer base is in manufacturing and fabrication. We work with clients in all types of industries, including many that are highly regulated, such as aerospace, defense, power generation, nuclear and medical. Our labs can test to strict industry specifications and we hold the accreditations that are required. The certified test reports we prepare are vital for regulatory compliance, said Frank Peszka, Director of Quality Assurance."
Fabtech anticipates bringing together nearly 28,000 attendees and 1,300 exhibiting companies for the 2016 expo in Las Vegas, NV. The event is designed for visitors to conveniently discuss service needs and solutions, view equipment demonstrations, and network with industry peers. In addition, Fabtech also provides over 100 educational sessions and presentations on the latest industry trends and technology in fabricating, metal forming, welding and finishing.
