That is why I chose to have the book released in November in honor of National Adoption Month.
"In addition to being a story about foster care and adoption, My Full Life Circle, Squared is also a salute to our military," continued Oden. "During my tour in Afghanistan, I saw the best that our nation has to offer in the daily sacrifice and commitment that my fellow service men and women gave daily and I want everyone who reads this book to understand that and honor our military. That is why releasing the book on Veterans Day was so important to me."
My Full Life Circle, Squared is an unique true story. Richard Oden grew up in the foster care system Alabama until being adopted at the age of twelve by his foster parents. Eighteen years later his life came full circle in his words when his wife and he became foster parents themselves to three beautiful children. During that time, Oden deployed to Afghanistan with the air force where he served as a Senior Airman. The Odens first child was born while he was overseas. Twenty-two years after he was adopted out of the Alabama foster care system, his life came full circle again as he and his wife adopted the three children they were foster parenting. Included in this story are enlightening accounts from Oden's former foster and adoptive parents and their unique perspective in foster parenting.
The book also recounts Oden's service in the military in Afghanistan. It is a strong tribute to the men and women who serve our nation in harm's way.
Proceeds from the sale of My Full Life Circle, Squared will benefit BigHouse
Foundation which is a Christ-centered non-profit ministry in Opelika, AL dedicated to meeting the needs and improving the quality of life of children in foster care.
