Dr. Shannon Cunningham uses her evaluation and qualitative research skills as a Senior Health Research Evaluator at Alberta Innovates. The company is a provincially-funded and board-governed corporation tasked with delivering on the research and innovation priorities of the Government of Alberta.

Dr. Cunningham holds a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Applied Social Psychology. She also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in which she evaluated key communication elements of a provincial program. She specializes in the use of qualitative techniques to evaluate health processes, practices, procedures, products and research to determine impact and social return on investment. Areas of interest include women's health and safety, care of older adults, and health care communication practices. She is a member of the Canadian Evaluation Society.
