Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Charmaine O. Francois-Hays as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    LOS ANGELES, CA, November 23, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charmaine O. Francois-Hays, West Coast Housing Regional Manager for Forest City Real Estate Trust, LLC (formerly Forest City Residential Management, Inc.), has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Charmaine O. Francois-Hays, who is currently employed with Rose Community Management, was recently featured on the front cover of the January 2016 edition of Women of Distinction Magazine.

Having partnered with local government, police, and businesses, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, church leaders and members, social service groups, and non-profit organizations over the years to enhance the quality of life of those she serves, West Coast Housing Regional Manager of Forest City Realty Trust. Charmaine O. Francois-Hays is proud of her many efforts. Making great strides by enhancing the overall living experience for thousands of community members annually by providing federal assisting housing to those in need, she strives to follow her motto, while also emphasizing it to her employees, involves ensuring that every housing unit that is rented out is "parents ready". In other words, if a unit isn't an acceptable place for their parents to reside, than it just isn't acceptable.

"Federally assisted housing gives working families an opportunity to live in housing that is not substandard and is decent, safe, and sanitary," Francois-Hays said. "I tell my staff that if you wouldn't allow your own parents to live here, than the unit is just not up to standards for anyone."

In Francois-Hays' role, she specializes in placing qualifying citizens in Federally Assisted Housing units. She provides her team of professionals with the tools and training necessary to make sure they are constantly providing exceptional service to every single person who walks onto their property. Additionally, Francois-Hays provides leadership to property management and maintenance professionals, in a number of areas, whom are dedicated to providing quality service and high property performance ratings.

"It's my job to also assess every West Region Associate's level of skill and industry knowledge and help them develop a learning plan," she noted. "Giving them the opportunity to determine where they'd like to be in three, five, or even 10 years helps us facilitate a solid plan of action. My ability to work with people of all walks of life and my willingness to learn and understand human behavior and cultural differences has truly been a valuable resource in my work. I've always treated others with the same respect and dignity as I prefer to be treated."

Due to the unfortunate costs of housing as they continue to rise, and the fact that many individuals can no longer afford to rent or purchase homes, even with the first-time home buying program available, Francois-Hays believes that what she is doing is contributing significantly to society in a very positive way. People, she says often know where they want to go in life, but are not always sure how to get there. Guiding them in the right direction is a wonderful sense of accomplishment for her, and she enjoys playing a role that has such meaning for her. Francois-Hayes will transition her teams to Rose Community Management in January 2017, where she and her onsite management and maintenance teams will continue serving the western RE communities with service excellence.
