Meanger, Healthcare Consultant, formerly employed with the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Vivienne C. Meanger, PhD, MHS, OTR/L was recently featured in an October 2015 edition Women of Distinction Magazine.
Formerly employed with the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, the largest rehabilitation hospital in the Middle East, as a Healthcare Consultant, Dr. Vivienne C. Meanger has enjoyed a wonderful career in the healthcare field, beginning as an occupational therapist. Since that time, she has travelled the world working in New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and the United States in various healthcare settings gaining knowledge and expertise in her specialty. Seeking new learning experiences and opportunities to excel, she continues to enjoy her work today.
"Being intentional in relationships by creating a work environment that embraces an ambiance of caring, authentic listening; is motivational and inspirational, enables me the opportunity to become a positive change agent, while improving the quality of life for others and enhancing business units, programs, and service provision, are some of the aspects I enjoy," Meanger said.
In Dr. Meanger's former role, she was responsible for enhancing and redesigning the hospital's overall strategic plan, improving efficiency and quality of service and business provision; fiscal planning, administrative services, communication between departments, human resource operations, policy administration, and project management, as well as negotiating with stakeholders.
Boasting extensive experience in management and leadership, mentoring and coaching, as well providing clients with the utmost satisfaction, Dr. Meanger's experience includes conflict management, transformational leadership, regulatory compliance management, and business development. She brings a lot to the table with a strong work ethic and passion for task/project completion. Over the course of her 25-plus year career, she has worked in healthcare hospital settings and in a variety of leadership roles, including CEO. She's learned the value of mentorship and paying it forward and takes great pride in being a role model to others to enhance their ability to develop, lead, and thoroughly enjoy their work just as much as she does. As someone in management, Dr. Meanger knows firsthand the significance of what it means to influence others in a positive way and in teaching the younger generation the value of a career in the healthcare field.
"Leadership is not associated with a job title, it's a journey, a series of opportune moments, combined with adversity and success," Meanger noted. Learning how to manage oneself under pressure and difficult circumstances and teach others how to do the same is very valuable."
Meanger appreciates the coaching and mentorship of others in the past and now it is time to pay it forward.
In 2014, Meanger earned her PhD with Honors in Public Policy and Administration at Walden University. She also holds a Master of Health Science from the University of Indianapolis, an Advanced Diploma in Occupational Therapy from Central Institute of Technology, and is a Registered and Licensed Occupational Therapist in both New Zealand and the United States.
