Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Sally Pelletier Moore as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    BOYNTON BEACH, FL, December 15, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sally Pelletier Moore, Founder, President and Executive Director of Perks N Moore, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Sally Pelletier Moore was recently featured in a 2014 edition of Women of Distinction Magazine.

Established in December 2009 by Founder, President, and Executive Director Sally Pelletier Moore, Perks N Moore, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, an anchor of hope, dedicated to caring for caregivers. The organization's mission is to take care of caregivers by way of education and professional support so they can meet their daily challenges. Because caregivers identify stress and self-isolation as two of the most difficult aspects of their work, as well as the lack of much needed emotional support, the organization strives to address these needs in a variety of ways, to include innovative programs and services, mentoring, and socialization. Services also focus on long-term needs.

"Our unique approach offers caregivers what they have requested, not what I think they need. Caregivers learn simple solutions to common, everyday issues," Moore said, noting that she, too, was a caregiver for 12 years, both for her mother and later for her husband who both suffered from Alzheimer's.

Moore graduated with her Bachelor's in Social Work from Saint Leo University in 2000, followed by her Master's in Social Work from Barry University in 2001. She also became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida in 2009. Moore is a retired Hospice Social Worker. She is very active in the continuation of her services and does everything she can to promote her non-profit. She's been a guest speaker 16 times with CLOSE-UP Talk Radio, has presented annual social work conferences with the National Association of Social Workers and National Association of Christian Social Workers for the past 10 years, and in 2013 served as a Keynote Speaker for A True Jewel, Inc.'s first annual fundraiser/social event to support special women in Palm Beach County. Moore currently hosts 'The Perks n Moore Show' with professional Radio Network (prnfm.com).

Moore authored four Alzheimer's caregiver's journals: 'One Word, An Alzheimer's Caregiver's Journal'; 'Two Tears, an Alzheimer's Caregiver's Journal'; and is now working on her third, entitled 'Three Hearts, An Alzheimer's Caregiver's Journal & 52-Week Devotional' and 'Four Joy, An Alzheimer's Widow's Journal'.
