Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Sheila Slocum as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    SUFFOLK, VA, December 21, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sheila Slocum, Massage Therapist and Founder and CEO of Hands On Massage, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Sheila Slocum will be featured on the front cover of an upcoming edition of Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Sheila Slocum, a Reiki Master, Certified Lymphatic Therapist, and Certified Pregnancy Therapist, who is also TMJ Certified and Advanced Cupping Certified, established Hands On Massage in Suffolk, Virginia as Founder and Chief Executive Officer in 2009.

Working in the field of massage therapy, Slocum not only provides one-on-one therapeutic massage to each of her clients, but she has also been managing the day to day operations for the past seven years, which she equally loves. Offering various types of massage for clients, including Relaxation Massage, Blended Massage, Deep Tissue, Medical, or Sports Massage, Couples Massage, Prenatal/Pregnancy, Hot Stone, and Lymphatic Drainage, as well as Reiki Ancient Healing Therapy, Facials, and a number of other treatments. Slocum, who spent years working in a chiropractor's office prior to making a career change, would often massage clients in the office waiting room while they were waiting to see the doctor. It not only made the patients feel welcomed and relaxed, but she felt equally pleased about the experience. Transitioning into massage therapy was a clear decision that she knew she would love.
