Fort Myers Insurance Company's Co-Founder Earns MBA from Warner University

    FORT MYERS, FL, December 22, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A non-stop, fast paced college course for busy professionals that takes two years to complete has concluded with Regency Insurance Group's co-founder and senior agent, Kevin Koelemeyer, getting his MBA from Warner University, on Saturday, December 17, 2016.

"The program at Warner U was an ideal fit for me," said Koelemeyer. "I selected Warner because it's a highly regarded program that's molded around the working professional. Ultimately the program is a new class every eight weeks for two years and keeps you on your toes. With my busy schedule, I submitted work from a multitude of states, airports, hotel rooms and even another country."

For Koelemeyer, "easy" has been a road less traveled in his life and career. A native of Buffalo, New York, Koelemeyer comes from a loving family that emphasized the value of hard work. He paid his own way through college by working at multiple golf courses in southwest Florida. He graduated in 2006 from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) with a Bachelor of Science degree.

During his senior year at FGCU, Kevin worked for one of the largest captive insurance agencies in the country. Over the course of his six years, Kevin met amazing people, learned important lessons and built lasting relationships and friendships. However, he found that he wanted to be able to present his customers with more options. Finding that they were on the same wavelength, Kevin and his colleague Kagen Cooksley decided to create and launch their own independent agency, Regency Insurance Group, LLC in November of 2011.

Koelemeyer, a self-professed "life-long learner," decided to pursue his MBA two years ago while managing his startup insurance agency with over 60 licensed representatives.

"Growing up, one of my mentors always stressed the importance of constantly trying to improve oneself," said Koelemeyer. "I am always looking for ways to improve and felt this was a critical piece of my foundation. Was it worth all the effort? Yes. But, I would be lying if I said it was easy!"
