LOS ANGELES, CA, December 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alternative rock/pop band Slowfall, led by Ryan Schicht, recently announced the release of their LP "All These Seasons," available on January 6, 2017. Preorders have begun on iTunes and the band's Facebook page. The first single, "Speak Up," is available as a free download on Bandcamp, and the video can be seen on YouTube.
Crafted in the same recording space as the band's debut EP release, "Start Breaking the Silence," this latest effort continues a songwriter's journey exploring relatable themes associated with the pursuit of love and the consequences that result when opened up to these vulnerabilities.
The opening track, "Lost at Sea," is a simple love song that is well-crafted and brings the listener easily into the headspace and themes that are central to this record.
"Speak Up" is a mid-tempo rocker centered around a narrator with a simple plea for a lover to open up and communicate, while "The Red" and the devastating acoustic/cello track "Kinda/Sorta" takes the listener deep into the hard times in love, the pursuit of hope, and a turn toward better days with the latter track accompanied by the fine pairing of an acoustic guitar and cello that adds to the somber tone.
The closing title track, "All These Seasons," provides an uplifting reminder to slow down and make time for the amazing friends and family in our busy lives.
With influences like Goo Goo Dolls, Lifehouse, and Train, Slowfall provides an eclectic Rock/Pop Alternative twist with lyrics of love found, then lost, and the hard fought battles for what matters most.
Between Slowfall's EP and their latest release, Ryan focused a lot of time and energy into other priorities and goals. Music didn't fit into any of it the way he hoped. As time passed, he realized there were still songs that he needed to express. He could no longer tell himself, "No."
"Everyone around me was very encouraging, so when I finally made the decision to write and record a new record, I knew I was making a decision that people around me supported," says Ryan.
The project took a year to write and record, with Scott Zschomler once again at the helm. It was topped off by mastering legend Howie Weinberg (Smashing Pumpkins/Siamese Dream, Nirvana/Nevermind). "Howie has mastered some of my all time favorite records, so it was an absolute honor to have him on this project," says Ryan.
With the release of "All These Seasons," Slowfall has overcome many challenges and hopes to gain momentum with new listeners, playing live and rekindling the magic that started this whole thing.
