Delphi Boston Students and Families Host Holiday Show and Collect Jackets and Pajamas

The holiday season is a season of giving, and each year, Delphi Boston students and families come together to celebrate and give to their community.

MILTON, MA, January 09, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Each year, Delphi Boston students come together to support those in need. Every class participates in the jacket and pajama drives to support local families. This year, Delphi Boston is collecting jackets for Anton's Coats for Kids drive, and pajamas for Scholastic Reading Club's Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. Activities like these are one of the vital ways Delphi Boston teaches students to have compassion for their fellow humans and to give back to their communities.

On December 21, Delphi Boston students hosted a lower school holiday show. Each of the lower school classes performed for the parent body and again for the student body. Students also participated in the annual cookie exchange fundraiser and raffle. Celebrating the holiday season and supporting the community is something students at the local private school enjoy greatly, and this past holiday season was no different.

With support from all of the students and faculty, 50 coats and 30 pairs of pajamas were collected. From the cookie exchange fundraiser and raffle, donations were collected for the school. In giving back, students learn first-hand about community and civic engagement, as well as seeing what a difference kids can make. Courses, activities, and projects are interwoven throughout the Delphi Academy of Boston's curriculum to strengthen honesty, accountability, and character. They refer to it as "developing backbone" and it is central to the success of The Delphi Program. Read more about the Holiday Show and fundraisers on Delphi Boston's Twitter.
