Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Jan Henryson as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    SIOUX CENTER, IA, January 14, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jan Henryson, Co-Founder of Center for Financial Education, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Jan Henryson was recently featured in a 2014 edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine.

Co-founding the Center for Financial Education alongside her husband, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to transforming lives through Christ-centered financial education, Jan and Bruce Henryson love helping people become debt free and become more responsible when it comes to handling their everyday finances. Providing free education to individuals and families on responsible money management, they also rely heavily on the use of volunteers to help the communities in which they serve.

"Our main location is in Sioux Center, Iowa. We also currently have four additional branches in Iowa and South Dakota," Henryson noted. "We are very excited about how far we've come since we established our first location in 1999 and we look forward to many more years serving the surrounding areas."

Focusing much of her efforts serving as the Center's Executive Director, Henryson works directly with staff members to properly train them as to how to counsel and encourage families in need. She also does counseling work herself, in addition to working with creditors to make agreeable payment arrangements, and working with the board of directors in the planning and implementing of community educational programs and fundraising.

Henryson completed her BS in Education at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She previously worked for Iowa State University and served as a Money Management Consultant for the organization's Money Wise program. Four years later, Henryson left the company to form Center for Financial Education. Notably, she and her husband and business partner recently celebrated their marriage of 41 years in 2016.
