WALTHAM, MA, January 15, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tanya Hysler, Corporate Controller for The Panther Group, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine.
Taken on board with The Panther Group in 2009, Tanya Hysler has worked diligently to prove herself in the industry. Today, she is serving as the organization's Corporate Controller overseeing a host of responsibilities, keeping her on her toes and full vested in her role.
"Over the past 10 years I have grown from an Accounting Supervisor to Accounting Manager, and now Corporate Controller," Hysler said proudly. "I have had the opportunity to work with and for some great individuals and I couldn't be more grateful. Even in some of the most difficult situations I found the drive to continue to be an ethical individual, both personally and professionally. Those experiences are what pushed me to be where I am today."
The variety that Hysler's job has to offer makes every day at the office interesting and inspiring. As Corporate Controller for the company, she manages the finance and accounting departments by providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, shareholders, and other users in making educated, economical decisions about the company's future. She also oversees the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports that include, but are not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets. Additionally, Hysler oversees the activities of the accounts payable and receivable departments and the payroll department and establishes and maintains systems and internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data. Hysler works to enhance company values, responds to the chief executive officer as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs, and participates in a variety of special projects and a compilation of special reports.
Established in 1992 as Total Technical Services, Inc., The Panther Group is a diverse, minority-owned, and certified full-service company that offers unique and innovative recruitment strategies. The Panther Group offers a single point of contact for all of its brand offerings and provides value to its customers with high quality and cost-effective services.
"Our company has just gone through a rebranding, which I am very excited about," Hysler added. "It includes a new, interactive, and mobile-enabled website, as well as a searchable job board, a blog, and free resources for jobseekers and employers. I am very excited about the future of the business."
A strong supporter of the power of networking, Hysler recently attended the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Controllers Conference this past November 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada where she had the opportunity to chat with dozens of other professionals in or relevant to her field. She is also affiliated as a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and Delta Mu Delta Honor Society and previously spent four years, from 2010-2014, as Treasurer of her son's Cub Scout Troop, Pack 340, of Eliot, Maine.
Hysler earned her Associate's in Business Science at Castle College in 1995 followed by her Bachelor's in Accounting and Finance Summa Cum Laude at Southern New Hampshire University in 2008.
