Sound Physicians Promotes Greta Boynton, M.D., to Associate Chief Medical Officer

    TACOMA, WA, January 19, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sound Physicians, a leading healthcare organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance for hospitals and post-acute facilities nationwide, announced today the promotion of Greta Boynton, MD to Associate Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in the northeast. Greta joined Sound Physicians in 2013, initially in the role of Chief Hospitalist and Divisional Chief at Baystate Medical Center (MA), responsible for one of Sound Physicians' largest hospitalist programs. In 2015 she was promoted to Regional Medical Director.

Prior to her tenure with Sound Physicians, Greta served as the Chief of Hospital Medicine for Eastern Connecticut Health Network from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, she earned the Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine distinction from the Society of Hospital Medicine.

In 2014, Sound Physicians recognized Greta for the Core Value of Service Award for the individual who best embodies service excellence in her region. That same year she was a mentor in the inaugural class of Sound's Emerging Leaders. Where providers receive mentorship and education from physician leaders in the organization.
