Hilliard- and Powell-area boomers and seniors deserve a wide range of living options, with appealing amenities and extra care when they need it.
COLUMBUS, OH, January 30, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This month, Spectrum Retirement, a senior living developer recognized as one of the best in the U.S., opened two new options for Columbus-area seniors.
Spectrum's Powell Senior Living is now open, offering 126 Independent Living residences to seniors who want to leave behind the worries of owning a home. The 131,000-square-foot community located at 10351 Sawmill Parkway features studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments designed from nine spacious floor plans, ranging in size from 400 to 1,224 square feet. Pets are welcome throughout the community.
Residents of the new community can choose from a wide range of upscale amenities such as a theater, library, greenhouse, spa and fitness center and a robust activity program. Multiple dining areas provide a varied, anytime menu that is always top-rated among Spectrum residents.
Spectrum also will offer a new living choice to Hilliard-area seniors who want to remain independent but need a little extra help. This month, the company added a Transitional Memory Care program, called The Residence Club , at Hilliard Assisted Living and Memory Care, a living environment designed to support seniors who face memory loss or confusion but want to maintain their independence.
The Hilliard community, located at 4303 Trueman Blvd., opened in September 2016. Through the Transitional Memory Care program, seniors can maintain their independence in an Assisted Living apartment, while also receiving dedicated support from a compassionate aide specially trained to help overcome the hurdles that accompany short-term memory loss. As a result, they can continue their active lives and participate in the community's many activities.
"Hilliard and Powell are among the 10 fastest-growing communities in the state. The area's boomers and seniors deserve a wide range of living options, with appealing amenities and extra care when they need it," said Spectrum Managing Director Jeff Kraus. "Seniors living in Spectrum communities across the U.S. consistently rank us top-notch, and Powell and Hilliard will deliver the same excellence in design and care."
Spectrum is committed to Columbus-area seniors, with four senior living communities under construction in the capital city. In addition to Powell and Hilliard, Spectrum will open communities in Gahanna and Pickerington, Ohio, in 2017.
