MILTON, MA, February 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an effort to provide students with a well rounded education, students at Delphi Academy of Boston enjoyed a fun, science-filled January. With two science fairs and an in-class program from Top Secret Science, students were given an opportunity to showcase their science knowledge and learn new skills. During the one and a half hour program, students delved into the scientific process, critical thinking, and scientific reasoning skills along with the scientific method.
Top Secret Science, a hands-on educational class provider, talks about the educational issues facing students. "The fact is that 60% of the 30 million children here in the U.S. age 6 - 12 either fail or need improvement in science. In urban schools that number jumps up to 90%. Here in Massachusetts we have had a state standardized science test at 3 grade levels for 13 years. Massachusetts is ranked near the top for state test scores. During these 13 years Massachusetts has spent millions of hours and billions of dollars teaching science and hoping that children would be smarter and test better."
With hands-on learning, students learn valuable lessons, academically and in life. Read more about Delphi Boston on their Twitter.
