SILVER SPRINGS, MD, February 22, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nanny Magazine is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Dunyak as its new Editor in Chief. Dunyak, of Bound Brook, NJ, is a nanny with over 15 years' experience. The appointment follows Dunyak's involvement spanning four years in various leadership positions with the publication. "Since Nanny Magazine was first created in 2013, I longed to be a part of it and to help it grow. As a nanny, I felt that it was an important resource for the community, and I am so happy to have been a part of Nanny Magazine's journey for the past four years. I look forward to taking the editorial reins from the preceding Editor in Chief and charting the new direction for the magazine."
Nanny Magazine will celebrate its fourth birthday on April 4, 2017. To celebrate, staff plan to roll out a brand new website experience, and will host a raffle contest to give away a shipment of gourmet "birthday" cupcakes to one lucky winner. "We want to share the sweetness of our success with some birthday cake," says the magazine's owner Jennifer Kuhn of Silver Spring, Maryland.
Dunyak is eager to leave a mark on the often-isolated and underappreciated childcare community through her new appointment. "I look forward to working with the Nanny Magazine team to come up with some fresh new article ideas by listening to my fellow nannies in the community about what they want to read and finding the best writers and professionals to deliver those articles. I am also hoping to welcome some new readers as we go into our fourth year," Dunyak said. Articles on deck for the remainder of 2017 will touch on bullying, financing retirement and paying for health insurance, gendered toys, and employment issues.
Nanny Magazine is the premiere publication for nannies, published since 2014 and serving over 9000 nannies around the world through its print and online articles, social media presence, and advice for childcare workers. The magazine is expected to thrive under Dunyak's editorial leadership. By nannies and for nannies, topics of the magazine range from health topics, recipes, and educational activities, to more hard-hitting advice for managing sticky nanny situations such as isolation, taxes, and legislation issues important to nannies. Many parents also find the publication to be eye-opening.
