ALAMO, CA, March 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What's guaranteed to create a smile, any day of the week, and benefit a great local nonprofit organization at the same time? Pet pictures, of course. Lots of them.
Local orthodontics office Majeroni Orthodontics announces "Stuff That Makes You Smile." Community members are encouraged to send pictures and video of their own cats and dogs across Majeroni social media channels. When the initiative concludes, Majeroni will present ARF with a donation check to help pets who have run out of time at public shelters.
"This is about the community and how we all benefit from the work ARF provides, such as helping ARF resident pets visit veterans and children in hospitals," says David Majeroni, founder/CEO, Majeroni Orthodontics. ""It's our passion to see people smile, and we believe that pets are part of our village. The work ARF does to bring healing through pets to children, veterans and other groups impacts us all and we're really excited to create a bigger platform for ARF."
The donation to ARF could help provide food for shelter pet residents or help supply ARF Pet Hug Packs. A Pet Hug Pack enables teams of qualified pets and their volunteer handlers to visit children, seniors, veterans and others in need. Pet Hug Pack visits include hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools and more.
Majeroni said that inviting people to share pet pictures and video, and encouraging them to get their friends and family involved, creates a bigger reach for the work ARF performs for hundreds of abandoned or abused pets each year.
"Not only is it fun to share your own pet pics online, it's rewarding that people understand the mission of ARF and exactly what they're doing," says Majeroni. "This allows our customers and the community to get involved in their own special way with this nonprofit organization. We believe coming alongside community organizations helps our business and strengthens the entire village that we are part of."
