Hunter Bailey Outraged by Recent Study into Leadership Development

The Sydney-based, sales and marketing agency, Hunter Bailey, have revealed their frustrations from the results of the latest Deloitte study.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, March 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A recent Deloitte revealed millennials are missing out on opportunities to develop their leadership skills. The study has shown that an overwhelming 61 percent of millennials are dissatisfied with how their leadership skills are being developed.

As an organisation that attributes their success to their ambitious, millennial workforce, Hunter Bailey is keen to share the ways they support the development of young leaders, in the hope that other companies follow suit.

The Deloitte study also revealed that while companies are investing heavily in leadership training within their workforce, only 28 percent have formal development programs in place.

Most traditional business structures seem to be overlooking millennials for this training and are instead opting to favour the baby boomer generation. But with 70 percent of millennials expressing their aspirations to become leaders in their organisations within the next five years, it's clear that there seems to be a huge disparity between the development goals of corporations and their young workforce. The Deloitte study goes on to state that 60 percent of the millennials polled say that they want direct training to develop skills they'll need to take up the leadership mantle.

The sales and marketing firm, Hunter Bailey believe that the statistics gathered from this study clearly show that organisations need to do more to support the leadership aspirations of their millennial workforce.

The organisational structure of Hunter Bailey is geared towards the ongoing support and development of their young team. As a small, forward-thinking startup, they understand the importance of developing millennials' leadership skills.

With the previous generation of baby boomers on the cusp of retirement, it's becoming increasingly important that businesses start to train capable, experienced and ambitious young leaders to replace their expertise.

Hunter Bailey's Managing Director says "Although we are a small startup, we are always striving to ensure that the necessary support structures are in place to help our young professionals gain leadership skills. Millennials will be the future of business, so to stay relevant and thrive in your field, it's important to invest in their development and provide them with the tools they need to succeed."
