Eventit Launch Investigation into the DNA of Entrepreneurs

Kicking off their investigation, Eventit looked into the study conducted by Author Napoleon Hill. In his landmark research Hill studied more than 500 self-made millionaires including Andrew Carnegie and Henry Ford and found that every single one of them shared one common trait - the ability to make decisions promptly. Entrepreneurs face an endless wave of decisions, many of which have the potential to destroy their dreams. However, they understand that stalling for time and missing an opportunity is more damaging than making the decision itself and know that regret is more painful than failure.

Keen to further explore the nature of the entrepreneur, Eventit discovered research by Amy Wilkinson, a lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Wilkinson conducted 200 interviews with leading entrepreneurs, reviewed 10,000 pages of interview transcripts, and viewed more than 5,000 pieces of archival and documentary evidence to uncover six core traits that make up the DNA of an entrepreneur. Seeing opportunities others miss, focusing on the future, learning from small failures, networking and sharing their expertise, as well as decision making, were all found to be integral to succeeding as an entrepreneur.
