TORONTO, ON, April 15, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Body Pro Beauty and Aesthetics Academy (www.bodypro.ca) had sent 11 beauty experts to participate in the 35th annual Easter Seals Telethon. They did the makeup and hairstyling for the Canadian TV personalities who had donated their time to host the event. The goal was to raise money for children with disabilities so they can achieve a greater level of independence. The event was aired on Sunday April 9th from 10 am to 4 pm on CBC.
"The Academy believes in giving back to the community and doing what's best for our students. This event will bring greater awareness to Canadian families in need and give our students a better understanding of what's expected of them in a television environment," said Body Pro instructor Mekisha Banks. "These partnerships give our students exposure to different areas of the beauty industry, and opportunities to network and connect with industry professionals."
Funds raised through the telethon will help over 20,000 children and youth with physical disabilities across Ontario, achieve a greater level of independence. This was the third year in a row that the Body Pro's students and faculty participated in the telethon.
