ATLANTA, GA, April 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- We are calling out to all our Ambassadors through our 'Ambassador Recognition Program.' This would include teachers, counselors, parents, and mentors who have recommend the current existing girls in the program who maintain a good GPA, display exceptional leadership qualities, and perform community services. Ultimately each Tour is facilitated by Ambassadors and Women who are considered leaders in their community. Yes, it's that time of the year ago and we need more Ambassadors in the Atlanta area on board to make this weekend the most productive ever!
Through our Ambassadors and Sponsors we are able to pull this event together each year. This is our second annual Girls Who Brunch Tour. This year we are in terrible need of physical hygiene packages the girls can take back with them to their shelters and group homes when they return from the Fundraising weekend. We have some really fun activities planned May 26th - May 28th to make this a weekend the girls will never forget.
During the Gala we will have Queen Yonasda doing the "Welcome" message; and a recognition ceremony honoring six of our Ambassadors with the STILL I RISE award who have displayed outstanding leadership and overcome stringent circumstances and yet they are still standing.
The weekend will kick off Friday May 26th starting with the TuTus and Tennis Shoes and Scholarship Fundraiser Gala from 7-10pm taking place at LeBam Studios 721 Miami Circle Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30324. You will be able to meet the infamous 'ZANE' the author who is also our M.C. for the evening. Our course no Gala would be complete without a red carpet that will open at 6:30 being hosted by Editor of Daitime Magazine, Ms 'Daitime' herself.
On Saturday May 27th there will be a Charity Basketball Game from 11am-2pm at the Adamsville Recreational Center (3201 M.L.K. Jr. Dr SW Atlanta, GA 30311). Comedian/actor Rodney Perry and former NFL Eddie Drummond will serve as team captains. Sign up if you got game. There will be a live performance at half time by the artist 'Micah Blu' and a special surprise guest will sing the national anthem. 3201 M.L.K. Jr. Dr SW Atlanta, GA 30311. Then that evening from 6 - 9:30pm there will be a Bowling Tournament and Family Fun at Midtown Bowling 1936 Piedmont Circle Atlanta, GA 30324.
Sunday will mark the concluding day of all activities. On May 28th a panel discuss will take place titled 'What about our Girls in 2017? Discussion Panel from 2-4 pm. Confirmed panelists include, Minister Sherilyn Bennett, Gocha Owner of Gocha hair salon and cast member of We Tv's L/A Hair, Genise Shelton cast member of Married to Medicine, and author and Founder of the Girls Who Brunch Tour Ni'cola Mitchell. Location TBD and later the same evening - Ladies of GWBT Book Signing. Guests and the girls will get a chance to meet some pretty amazing authors, get some autographs and take some books home. This will take place from 4:30- 6:30pm.

Girls Who Brunch Tour, a non-profit organization has now been in existence for over a year and with the help of many others like us we have impacted many lives through education, empowerment, and feeding programs. Inspired by the organization Black Girls Rock, Girls Who Brunch Tour wants to be an outlet to display the achievements and the true definiton of Girl Power nationwide.
