Delphi Academy of Boston's Annual Student Geography Fair Was a Success

    MILTON, MA, April 28, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On March 31st, the Delphi Academy students showcased their hard work in the school's annual geography fair. Students transformed each classroom into a different country, allowing students, parents, family, and friends to travel the world without leaving the school. The school's annual geography fair fosters research skills, curiosity, and creativity, while allowing students to immerse themselves in foreign cultures and to gain an understanding of and appreciation for the practices and traditions of these cultures.

Students created presentations from all around the world, including: Japan, Pakistan, Italy, Greece, the United States, Brazil, Costa Rica, Belgium, Iceland, and South Africa. The presentations incorporated cultural attire and the student displays highlighted different elements of the chosen country. The Geography fair is an opportunity for students to expand on their research and individual creativity while also gaining new insights into different world cultures. Fair attendees got to eat local foods, listen to new music, and learn all about different cultures. Not only does the fair promote cultural understanding, it is also a driving factor in the knowledge and acceptance of diversity both near and far.

Delphi Academy of Boston is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian day school offering a preschool through eighth grade program.
