Kari Hogan embarked on a career with PPEP, Inc. in 1987 after being encouraged by a friend to apply. After holding numerous positions with the agency and now the chief administrative officer, Ms. Hogan has shown the agency she is able to do what it takes to implement successful programs and put in the time necessary to achieve goals. Through this dedication, Ms. Hogan has achieved her goals and continues to work toward the next. She has taken programs that have achieved minimal success and turned them around, taken on new endeavors, and outdistanced expectations. Throughout her career, she has been given opportunities to see success rise from disappointments and rough roads.

As the chief administrative officer, Ms. Hogan is charged with managing, directing and implementing programs for youths and adults in the areas of education, employment, training, case management and developing partnerships that build on new program technique and leverage services and funding. In her latest endeavor, Ms. Hogan is working to change the lives of youth suffering from extensive trauma, through the development of evidenced based programs using resiliency, motivational interviewing, narrative story telling and life coaching techniques. Working with numerous partners, such as Paxis Institute, Dr. Pat Stembers and collaborating with schools and behavioral health counseling entities, Ms. Hogan looks to be one of the first to train and educate across program modalities that will give program staff, teachers, counselors and youth a new way of tackling the adversity that each face in their daily lives, in programs, and in school. Named one of the Top Female Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs by Worldwide Branding, Ms. Hogan holds a BSB with a concentration in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and numerous certifications in various areas that compliment her degree and position. She names the most gratifying aspects of her career as being able to give people an opportunity to achieve their dreams, and truly work with those she serves, whether staff or community with a path to success through hard work and perservance.

Ms. Hogan remains updated in her field through her positions as an executive board member of the Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs, Youth National Directors Association, the Rocky Mountain High Coalition, and the Western Alliance of Farmworker Advocates. Ms. Hogan continues to be involved and coordinate service projects throughout the state and last year brought the first "Global Youth Service Day" to Arizona where Youth from El Salvador, Mexico and Arizona participated together to build low income affordable housing. Partners included YouthBuild International, YouthBuild USA, Prudential Foundation and the event was recognized by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Heather Higginbottom, who spoke at the event as well as community members and the local state representative.
