Local Ladies Take their New App to Notre Dame University

    LOUISVILLE, KY, June 01, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The newest Catholic app Willing Hearts debuts in Notre Dame at the 36th Annual Holy Cross History Conference.

The Willing Hearts app is history told in a way never seen before! Its creators are speaking on the art of app building, presenting archival ephemera to the public, and the remarkable stories of Catholic Sisters who served as nurses during the Civil War. The Holy Cross History Conference is being held this year in the Driscoll Theatre at Holy Cross College.

Inside the remarkable app Willing Hearts, are stories left to us by the Civil War Era Sisters -- who served as nurses during the Civil War. They have remarkable stories of faith, courage, and even humor! Yes, in the middle of the strife, these women managed to keep their cultural Irish humor!

When a Commissary official arrived at the military hospital Mother Angela Gillespie, CSC deftly used her humor to wrangle desperately needed supplies from the man. Upon his departure, "Mother Angela rubbed her little hands with unmistakable glee, in the full merriment of laughing eyes."
