LOUISVILLE, KY, June 08, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The newest Catholic app Willing Hearts debuts in Dublin, Ireland at the HWRBI Conference.
The Willing Hearts app is history told in a way never seen before! Its creators are speaking on the art of app building, presenting archival ephemera to the public, and the remarkable stories of Catholic Sisters who served as nurses during the Civil War. The annual Dublin, Ireland HWRBI conference is held in the University College Dublin at their School of Education. This app is a perfect fit for the conference, in part, because most of the young Sisters originally migrated to the US from Ireland.
"As far as we're concerned, this app provides great incentive to switch it up from the day-to-day surfing and posting on Facebook. It's not only educational, but a breath of fresh air as far as apps go. In addition, the music and melodies of The Willing Hearts app can fully integrate you in a part of a journey that consisted of upheaval." NewsWatch TV
Inside the remarkable app Willing Hearts, are stories left to us by the Civil War Era Sisters -- who served as nurses during the Civil War. They have remarkable stories of faith, courage, and even humor! Yes, in the middle of the strife, these women managed to keep their cultural Irish humor!
When a Commissary official arrived at the military hospital Mother Angela Gillespie, CSC deftly used her humor to wrangle desperately needed supplies from the man. Upon his departure, "Mother Angela rubbed her little hands with unmistakable glee, in the full merriment of laughing eyes."
How can you help? By buying an app, leaving a review and spreading the word, you are helping us continue our mission to save and share these impressive stories. We would also love to come and give a presentation to your church group, school or book club.
Davis Studio -- Kindness Apps -- A tiny digital studio dedicated to remembering the kindness in history. Our mission at Davis Studio is to share these heart-touching stories about Catholic Sisters' service as nurses during the American Civil War. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Sisters of the Holy Cross ministries.
