Local Ladies Take their New App to Dublin Ireland Conference!

The annual Dublin, Ireland HWRBI conference is held in the University College Dublin at their School of Education. This app is a perfect fit for the conference, in part, because most of the young Sisters originally migrated to the US from Ireland.

Inside the remarkable app Willing Hearts, are stories left to us by the Civil War Era Sisters -- who served as nurses during the Civil War. They have remarkable stories of faith, courage, and even humor! Yes, in the middle of the strife, these women managed to keep their cultural Irish humor!

When a Commissary official arrived at the military hospital Mother Angela Gillespie, CSC deftly used her humor to wrangle desperately needed supplies from the man. Upon his departure, "Mother Angela rubbed her little hands with unmistakable glee, in the full merriment of laughing eyes."
