NEW YORK, NY, June 04, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Almost 800 guests came out to show their support at the 2017 Apex for Youth 25th Anniversary Gala, held at Cipriani Wall Street on April 26, 2017. The Chauncey F. Lufkin IIII Foundation continued its support of the organization with a table sponsorship at the event. A total of $1.3 million was raised, marking an all-time high for the organization.
Connie Chung served as the keynote speaker and Apex Mentee Alexis Zhao, a current high school senior, was the highlighted student of the evening. Sharing her story, Alexis announced at the podium that she had received a full scholarship to Franklin & Marshall College through the Posse Foundation, and thanked the Apex for Youth staff for nominating her and supporting her through the application process.
