The Travelers Championship

    HARTFORD, CT, June 22, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Professional and award-winning golfer Jim Herman will be attending this year's Travelers Championship. As a part of the annual PGA tour, the Travelers stop will feature the highest-ranking golfers. The tournament offers 500 FedExCup points with a purse of $6,800,000.

The 2017 Travelers Championship will be held on June 19th to the 25th at the TPC River Highlands, located in Cromwell, CT 10 miles south of Hartford. Practice rounds will begin on June 20th with the first tournament round starting at 7:00AM on June 22nt. All patron tickets are full-week passes. The Travelers Championship has partnered with Title Sponsor Travelers Insurance for 2017 and received presenting sponsorship by Trinity Health of New England. Jim Herman began playing golf when he was 9 years old and by 12 would play from dawn to dusk. After receiving a generous sponsorship because of his skills, Herman turned pro in 2000. With numerous awards and placements under his belt, he received his first PGD Tour victory in 2016 at the Shell Houston Open. Herman is known from using Presidential dollar gold coins to mark his ball on the green.

The Travelers Championship, held in Cromwell, Connecticut, is one of the premier events on the PGA TOUR and part of the FedExCup series.
