LOS ANGELES, CA, June 30, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Noted author of BloodAngel and Lord of Bones, has just released her latest flash fiction on the popular website, Medium.com. Her flash fiction piece titled, "everything i know about love, sexual obsession + small aircraft disasters", "i learned from watching soap operas when i was a kid" was posted to Medium.com and was once again hailed as a contemporary feminist piece that speaks to women of her generation.
This latest piece is a tongue in cheek synopsis of an archetypal soap opera written in typical Justine Musk style. The fun, flowing story starts with Justine Musk saying that, "Before I knew anything about anything, I wanted to be a district attorney. Then I realized that what I should really be when I grew up......was a beautiful woman on a soap opera." She then launches into the story about Sally Tapwell from the soap opera 'Santa Darla'. Musk details Sally's dramatic journey through love that includes both extreme highs and very low lows. The theatrical piece is both entertaining and poignant.
Flash fiction, also known as sudden fiction, micro fiction, short stories, or quick fiction, is part poetry and part narrative and contains very few words. Typically stories that are less that 1,500 words can qualify as flash fiction. The overall goal of fan fiction is to focus on powerful images and deliver an ending that offers a large emotional impact on the reader. Justine Musk masters the elements of flash fiction in her story for Medium to the delight of her fans everywhere.
