TORONTO, ON, July 07, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Canada already has a strong track record in electronics industry with micro-electronics; information and communications technologies; printing; and advanced manufacturing in its purview. CPEIA has already predicted that the country can become a world leader in this sector with effective strategies.
Canada's printed electronics sector needs an infusion of capital to reach its full potential, says the CPEIA report released earlier this year. The report outlines four key challenges summarized as below:
- The Market Challenge: The companies behind the products must be convinced to work with Canadian companies.
- The New Product Development Challenge: This challenge can be met by conducting trials of new technologies at a sufficient enough scale to prove their potential profitability.
- The Manufacturing Challenge: This will involve investment in manufacturing facilities before they become profitable.
- The Financing Challenge for Scale up: Printed electronics companies often face this challenge, lacking access to the venture capital funding of their more traditional tech industry counterparts.
The association believes more government intervention is needed to overcome these challenges, for which it outlines a six-step strategic plan. One of the six steps is to "promote the sector and its industry events to a global audience, so that Canadian companies can connect to the global supply chain".
With Canada having golden days ahead in the printable electronics industry, retailers and wholesalers of electronics and accessories also see a bright future.
"Two reasons why we are able to reach a larger audience are that we have eliminated multiple nodes of the supply chain while still providing the same variety of electronics accessories across our online store and retail unit. We keep updating our computer peripherals segments to make the latest devices available online to our customers," says Amer Erheim, the owner and manager of RTC Electronics, a company that has overcome the four challenges mentioned earlier.
The Canadian electronics market will be benefitted as these e-commerce companies fortify their global marketing strategies. With leaner supply chains adopted by e-commerce stores like RTC, online prices will be quite low. Customers globally will have a greater access to printable electronics sold online.
RTC Electronics is a wholesale and retail company in Canada also running its e-Commerce store. Established in 1996, the company has earned a reputation for product excellence and customer service. Its head office is in Mississauga, Ontario and shipping facility in Niagara Falls, New York. With its 5000-sq ft warehouse the company operates through a network of 6,000 distribution centres spread across Toronto. It offers more than 6,000 high-quality electronics and accessories to professionals and consumers worldwide.
