Life After Death, The Death Of A Child, And The Challenges Of Loss - Author And NDE Expert Brian McLaughlin Issues Statement

Should those parents experience the Death of a Child, the focus is so disrupted that it proves to be difficult to recover from."

I don't think it is ever a matter of finding a way to refocus or replace, but rather a matter of management. I have found that allowing a place to memorialize the person works better than expecting to forget. Talking about the loved one seems to be more cathartic than not. Frustration and hurt appear to remain on the front burner and becomes very disruptive in one's life going forward."

In my case, my short visit to Heaven has afforded me a different perspective on death and loss. I know from my event that I was comfortable, fulfilled and at peace. It changed my whole concept of loss. Although obviously it still hurts, some of the concerns about the loved one being 'OK' are satisfied."
