Art Of Legohn, LLC Presents Red Light Special A Night Of Urban Burlesque

    NEW YORK, NY, July 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This event will include a live Dj, cocktails, art exhibition, burlesque performance, and sexiness!

Hosted by the beautiful Shernita Anderson.

Red Light Special A Night Of Urban Burlesque takes you through a journey of a woman's expression of self love, sexuality, and confidence in her body simultaneously seducing the audience, one dance at a time.

This special is integrated with a variety of dance styles including burlesque, contemporary, dancehall, african, and Jazz.

It is a full night event with different genres of music ranging from Trip Hop, RnB, Reggae, Dancehall, Afro Beat to Alternative, and more played by our live DJ, DJ Yanks!

Good music + cocktails + friends, in tandem with a riveting show.

The show first debuted in January 2016 at the Brooklyn Wineyard and brought in a packed house, followed by another great show and a full production in August 2016 at Black Bear Bar and in December 2016 at Gold Sounds Bar.

This season of Red Light Special is called "GLOW," which represents being bold, standing out, and feeling good about yourself all while being sexy.

Red Light Special A Night Of Urban Burlesque will feature a number of dance pieces performed by skilled dancers, Jacquelyn Powell, Jessica Figueroa, Krystal Bates, Alicia Hutchinson and Nana Jitsukawa.

Art Exhibition curator collaborations with Oriel Seballos, featuring Art Of Legohn Visual artists, Asha Qüwan, Hallie Kruger, Yaminah Legohn, and some of the finest visual artists in NYC!

About the director

Passionate, dedicated, and hardworking is the least to say about Yaminah Legohn, artistic director, choreographer, teacher, motivational speaker, professional dancer and performing artist of West African, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Jazz, contemporary and Modern dance styles.
Former Debutante and NAACP Speech Award winner.

Legohn was featured in Dance Mogul Magazine, Dance Spirit Magazine, appeared dancing on
"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," choreographing on BET's "F In Fabulous" for Savannah Lynx, choreographed for Akademia Award winning music video, "I Remember," by Carl Thornton, and the latest music video she choreographed, "On You" by Russell Elliot was featured in Paper Magazine.

Before moving to New York, Legohn spent time in her home- town Los Angeles, gaining experience in the Hollywood industry as a choreographer, teacher and professional dancer. She has worked with multiple artists such as Shakira, Nick Cannon, N.E.R.D., Killa Mike, Nelly Furtado, Lil Wayne, B.o.B., Fizz & Boog, Mack 10, J Holiday, Tony Toni Tone and appeared on Film/TV and commercials such as FAME, MTV's "Non Stop Summer" , Disney's "Phineas & Ferb," and "So Random," BET's "The Mo'Nique Show" and Oxygen Channel's "Hair Battle Spectacular 2."

Her inspiration behind creating the show "Red Light Special A Night Of Urban Burlesque" comes from her experiences in maturing as a woman and always enjoying her body while being naturally sexy.
